The Q31 Printer Applicator is integrated with the low-cost ModuLine labeling system to automatically apply a corner wrap label to an industrial package.

The operator downloads a bar code and variable information to the thermal transfer print engine. The product is captured by the off-set top hold down conveyor. The Q31 with the "Wipe-On" module prints and applies a portion of the label to the side of the carton.

A sensor mounted downstream detects the product, signaling a pneumatic cylinder to push the product onto a tray, mounted ninety degrees to product flow. As the product is pushed onto the tray, the wipe down is completed onto the bottom of the product.

This application highlights the Q31's Direct Wipe-On module. Other modules include Air-Blow, Dual Side Tamp, Pneumatic Wipe-On, Leading Panel, and Trailing Panel Corner-Wrap.
