The VersaLine Horizontal Roller labeling system is used to apply wraparound
labels to cylindrical containers at speeds up to 100 ppm. This system features a
product feed mechanism, an Open Date Thermocode 5775 coder, and a CTC color touch
screen which handles all machine controls and diagnostics.
Products are fed onto the horizontal roller conveyor by the infeed star wheel. The
Open Date Coder prints a bar code onto the label and the Q60 applicator applies the label
onto the product as the wrap station rotates and impresses the label around the product.
Monitored faults include low label, low ribbon, broken web, end of web, low air pressure,
splice detection, missing eject verification, missing/unreadable bar code, full rewind
spindle, wrong bar code read, missing imprint, and missing label on product detection with
ejection.
All stainless steel cabinet base construction and overhead electronics make this system
ideal for operation in harsh environments.
